I’ve been writing short stories for quite a few years. Life in the Littoral Waters was published in Redivider volume 15 Issue 1. Some of the stories I’ve had published are available online, and links to them are below. More recently I’ve been finishing up a novel called A Place in the Land which deals with the impact of mining on a Native American village–among other things–in southeast Alaska. I’ve spent time in Alaska and the beauty of the land is truly inspiring. Although people tend to think of Alaska as remote and cold, because of the moderating effect of the Pacific Ocean, Juneau, where my novel is centered, averages three degrees warmer than Chicago in January, although in July it’s 18 degrees cooler.
